St. Lucie County Mental Health Court held their 30th graduation on Monday, March 25, 2019, at 2:30p.m at the St. Lucie County Courthouse in downtown Fort Pierce. 40 graduates received certificates of completion.
Established in June 2006, St. Lucie County’s Mental Health Court is a community-based program that provides court supervision and services to mentally ill offenders.
The St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners has supported the program. Several graduates took to the podium to describe how participating in Mental Health Court has changed their life. Graduates thanked Judge Cynthia Cox, Chief Judge Elizabeth Metzger and the large support network of case managers, therapists and community service providers who have supported them through to their graduation.
